The victim a 16 year girl identified only as Liz was walking home from her grand dad’s funeral when she was attacked and raped by six men four months ago.
The men punched, kicked and raped her then threw her down a pit toilet causing her to break her back.
Liz was later found by locals who heard her screams after she regained consciousness and crawled out of the pit.
Vigilantes later apprehended three of the six men and handed them to the police, but were found cutting grass at the police station the next morning and later released.
Human rights groups are now planning to march to a police station in Nairobi; Kenya to protest police inaction.
Liz is still in a wheelchair, but is expected to make a full recovery.
